This is a place to talk about Amnesty International, simple as that. We really want to make people aware of how important human rights are and about how some people's rights are violated. What Amnesty does is that it helps people whose rights have been violated. I think, at the moment, one of their larger scale campaigns is the "Counter Terrorism with Justice" campaign which strives to stop the injustices people make in order to ensure their own "safety". I hope you'll find plenty to talk about here and we should have topics about campaigning, case studies and basically what we can do to help out.

Here's a run-down of the forum as it is today:
The Bulletin Board: Only moderators and administrators will be able to post new topics here. In this forum we will have updates on the site and future discussions.

Introductions: Here you can post an introductory thread and just mention a few things about yourself (just as much as you feel comfortable on the internet). It would also be a good idea to say how you found about Amnesty and about how you contribute.

Discussions: Here there will be discussions about campaigns that Amnesty is working on right now. There will also be topics about case studies. With case studies Amnesty has a letter writing campaign. On their sites they list a few points on what to include in the letter so those will most likely be posted too.

Events/Campaigning: Topics concerning events that Amnesty will be holding are going to be posted here. Also any events concerning human rights will be posted there if we hear about them. If you know of any events a PM to the Admin would be appreciated.

And so far that's it! If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. We hope you have fun posting! Very Happy
